Carla Bosch was born in Pretoria on 14 January 1976. She matriculated at the Overkruin High School and thereafter studied interior decorating at the Pretoria Technikon. Although Carla is a self-taught artist, she gets a lot of encouragement and guidance from her father, the artist Anton Gericke.

She paints mainly in bold acrylics. Her favorite subject matter is landscapes and street- and nautical scenes.
